Highland Community College Adult Education classes begin August 27

FREEPORT The Highland Community College Adult Education Program will resume morning, afternoon and evening GED preparation courses the week of August 27. English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) classes will begin September 10.

Prospective and returning students are encouraged to register as soon as possible. A new GED test is coming soon. Previous test scores will be deleted when the new test edition is issued.

In addition to classes on the main Freeport campus in the Community Services Center (building-R), the following locations will be offering classes:

Workforce Employment Solutions Center (IDES office), 1826 S. West Ave., Freeport
Northwest Illinois Community Action Agency, 103-109 N. Chicago Ave., Freeport
Freeport Housing Authority 1435 Westview Rd., Freeport
Mount Morris Senior Citizens Center, 9 E. Front St., Mount Morris
Tutoring is also available in Jo Daviess County through the HCC Adult Education Volunteer Literacy Program. No Orientation needed. Students will start classes on their first scheduled day.
