Highland Forensics Team continues their season of success

Highland Community College's Forensics season has had a successful season with two members of the team coming away from the State Championships held March 7 at Northern Illinois University with awards. Kevyn-Ann Sutter was awarded the State Champion in Program Oral Interpretation, and also took third place in Speech to Entertain. Sara Farmer placed sixth in Informative and Prose. Also competing at the state finals was Sidney Finkenbinder.

"Highland's Forensics Team is having a really successful season," said Melissa Entzminger, Forensics Team Coach. "It is a delight to watch the students' confidence grow as they work hard on developing their pieces."

Come hear some of the speeches being performed at a public event to listen to what the team will be taking to national competition. At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, the Forensics team will be presenting the speeches with an event called "Nights of Gold," which will take place in room H-201 of the Student/Conference Center.
