Highland Community College and WIU to approve two-plus-two agreement for broadcasting degree

Highland Community College students interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in broadcasting now have a direct path to completing their education at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL.

Through an agreement to be signed on March 2, at a special meeting of the HCC Board of Trustees, HCC students would complete the requirements for an Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in mass communication in two years. Students would then transfer to WIU for the final two years and would be eligible to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting degree with a choice of emphasis in sports broadcasting, news/performance, or production.
