Highland's speech instructor named as treasurer to ICTA board

Melissa Entzminger, speech instructor and director of forensics at Highland, was elected to a three-year term as treasurer to the Illinois Communication and Theatre Association (ICTA) board.

"It is a great honor to serve on the board at ICTA," Entzminger said. "I have been part of this organization for six years and I'm excited to be able to give back to an organization that has been so instrumental in advocating for communication and theatre in Illinois."

The mission of the ICTA (as posted on their website) is to develop, cultivate and support communication and theatre educators through instructional and assessment resources, research and performance. ICTA fosters continuing growth of the discipline through mentoring and community outreach in order to promote the value of speech communication as an integral function of society.

A few of her duties include handling and overseeing all of the financial operations of the organization, and prepare and present budgets and taxes.
