At Highland, our faculty and staff are committed to helping students achieve their goals. We have adopted an Early Alert program to help students who may encounter challenges. Students who get the help they need early in the semester are often able to successfully complete their courses.
Whether a student is referred through the Early Alert program or simply in need of assistance, the following FREE services are available to all students:
ADA Services - Located in M-147
ADA Services for students ensures Highland Community College's continued compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the US Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 1990, and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008.
HCC uses an interactive and dynamic process with the student in determining what accommodation/modification would be most effective for the student. The Coordinator of ADA Services acts as a liaison with faculty, staff, and outside agencies to assist in that process.
We are always working to create an accessible college community where individuals with disabilities have the opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of the educational environment. Services are to promote independence and offer appropriate accommodations.
Students should contact ADA Services at 815.599.3605 or 815.599.3582, or send an email for more information.
Visit the ADA Services web page for more information.
Requests for testing accommodations for students registered with ADA services can be submitted here.
