Join us for a presentation by LeNie Adolphson related to One Book One Highland! Through the lens of the story of Chicago’s first Black hospital, Provident Hospital, Adolphson will address historical disparities in healthcare for Black Americans. The discussion is limited to 50 in-person guests.
LeNie Adolphson is a native of Chicago and an instructor of history at Highland Community College. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and is pursuing her PhD in history at Northern Illinois University. Her presentation will cover historical healthcare disparities for Black Americans.
