Join us to celebrate the life and work of Stephenson County native and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Jane Addams. Highland’s first Jane Addams Festival of New Plays received over 60 ten-minute play entries by professional playwrights from across the United States and two countries. The evening will include the selected ten-minute plays and a one-act play, Bread and Peace by Russell Vandenbroucke, former artistic director of Chicago’s Northlight Theatre.
The staging for this production is Blackbox Theatre style with the audience for the Jane Addams Festival of New Plays sitting in seats on the stage of the Ferguson Fine Arts Theatre.
