Join Ojibwa speaker Kim Sigafus for her presentation, Journeying Through the American Indian Way of Life. She will discuss Native traditions and the culture of Illinois tribes prior to the Indian Removal Act in the early 1800s. Sigafus will sing and drum dressed in her Native regalia as she covers topics from music to gardening and harvest.

Sigafus is an internationally published and award-winning author across genres. She travels across the Midwest for book signings and Native American programs. When she is home in Freeport, Sigafus enjoys musical theatre, making dream catchers, drumming and singing.
