Speech and Debate Team Showcase

Join the Highland Speech and Debate Team for its fall showcase featuring performances by award-winning team members. Performances will include:

• A comedic speech on the dangers of our obsession with true crime
• A comedic speech on LGBTQ+ inclusion in children’s animation
• A poetry performance centered around the eviction crisis in the United States
• A persuasive speech on the hidden “troubled teen industry”
• A persuasive speech on the use of college-aged police informants
• An informative speech on the use of sound to fight fires
• Impromptu and extemporaneous speeches given “off-the-cuff”

Attendance is free, but donations of used formal attire (for the team’s 2022-2023 service project) are appreciated and will be accepted at the event!
