Each student who completes the auto body program at Highland Community College, will be able to accomplish basic collision repair procedures as set forth with the ASE/NATEF guidelines.
Students will be proficient at the following:
- Remove and replace bolted on panel and welded on panels
- Prepare panel and vehicle for the refinishing process
- Detail the interior and exterior of the vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction
- Apply and shape basic body filler to meet body contours
- Apply primers
- Remove and install vehicle components for the repair process
- Execute knowledge of vehicle construction
