Highland advisors are helpful professionals that are a key resource whether you plan on transferring to a four-year institution after Highland, jumping starting your trade, or complete a degree or certificate.
Your advisor will help you
- develop an educational plan
- choosing a field of study
- explore transfer schools
- register for classes
- check the completion status of a degree or certificate
- find campus and community resources
- understanding academic policies and procedures
- discuss other academic concerns
Student Advisor offices are located on the first floor of the Student/Conference Center (building H). We’re available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., during the semester or Monday-Thursday during the summer. For an appointment, call 815-599-3573 or email us.
Veterans and current military personnel may receive specialized assistance from the Veterans Coordinator who is also a Student Advisor.
Meet our Advisors
Like most collegiate systems, the Highland student advisors are specialists in particular program areas, but they are also cross-trained. So, any advisor can answer questions about transferring, articulation, and other question related to any field of study.
