Highland advisors are here to help as a key resource — whether you plan on transferring to a four-year institution after Highland, jump-starting your trade, or completing a degree or certificate.
Your advisor will help you:
- Choose a field of study.
- Develop an academic plan.
- Explore transfer schools.
- Register for classes.
- Check the completion status of a degree or certificate.
- Connect you to campus and community resources.
- Explain academic policies and procedures.
- Discuss any concerns you have about your education.
Student Advisor offices are located on the first floor of the Student/Conference Center (building H). We’re available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., during the semester or Monday-Thursday during the summer. For an appointment, call 815-599-3573.
Veterans and current military personnel may receive specialized assistance from the Veterans Coordinator, who is also a Student Advisor.
Meet our Advisors
Like most collegiate systems, the Highland student advisors are specialists in particular program areas, but they are also cross-trained. So, any advisor can answer questions about transferring, articulation, and other queries related to any field of study.
