Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for Highland Community College.
I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Illinois Community College District No. 519, Counties of Stephenson, Ogle, Jo Daviess, and Carroll for 2025 will be held on November 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Highland Community College, Freeport, Illinois.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended for 2025 were $13,715,527.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2026
are $14,415,000. This represents a 5.1% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2025 were $1,965,268.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2026 are $2,705,750. This represents a 37.7% increase over the previous year.
IV. The total property taxes extended for 2026 were $15,680,795.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2026 are $17,120,750. This represents a 9.2% increase over the previous year.
