Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Highland Community College postponed their May commencement and later announced a virtual celebration of graduates.
Highland’s spring class of 2020 had more than 200 graduates. One hundred fifty of those graduates participated in the virtual ceremony. The College invited the graduates to campus in June for a professional photo in their cap and gown with their diploma. The photo was used in the virtual ceremony.
The ceremony includes a welcome by Chris Kuberski, President; faculty address by Karla Guiffre, Biology Instructor; and conferring of certificates and degrees by James Endress, Chair, Board of Trustees; and announcing of graduates Elizabeth Gerber, Vice President, Student Development and Support Services.
