New Assistance Options Available for Students through the HOPE Fund, Food Pantry, and the Emergency Broadband Benefit


Food Pantry
The newly re-stocked pantry includes non-perishable food items, baby care and food, and personal hygiene products thanks to Alpha Delta Nu (Nursing Honor Society for students). To access the food pantry, contact Stacey Moore at 815-599-3582 or Stacey.Moore@highland.edu The food pantry is open to all students and employees of Highland Community College.

HOPE Fund
Due to federal relief funds, the HOPE Fund is able to offer emergency financial assistance for eligible students in an expanded list of categories including: utilities, housing/rent, food, medical/dental, licensed childcare, transportation and personal automobile expenses, tuition, books, Internet, hotspots, and/or other technology resources. Emergency Broadband Benefits Program
Newly authorized funds offer eligible households a monthly $50 discount on broadband service plus one-time discounts on computers, laptops, and tablets. You may check with local Internet providers or apply online and search for participating providers at this link: https://getemergencybroadband.org/
