Currently, the College awards any full-time administrative, professional or non-union classified staff member a $450 increase in the fiscal year following completion of an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree. Highland wants to encourage and support the pursuit of educational opportunities for staff and recognize their achievements. Beginning FY22, each full-time administrative, professional and classified staff member (not covered by a collective bargaining agreement) will receive the following increase in pay the fiscal year after completing an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or Doctorate degree: Associate’s degree – $500 Bachelor’s degree – $750 Master’s degree – $1,000 Doctorate degree – $1,250 This raise will be in addition to any other increase provided by the College (i.e. annual fiscal year increase). This is not a one-time bonus or stipend and it will be used in future increase calculations for the employee. A full-time employee will receive the increase for each level of degree earned, but only for one degree at each level. It is the responsibility of the employee to inform their supervisor and the Human Resources Office that they intend to purse a degree and upon completion of the degree. An official transcript supporting the completion of the degree will be required for verification. |
