In 2019, Public Act 101-0221 was signed into law by Governor Pritzker requiring all employers to train employees on sexual harassment prevention by December 31, 2020, and on an annual basis thereafter. In addition, the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act (ANCRA) was amended in 2020. Per the amendment, persons required to report child abuse or child neglect (all higher education personnel) must complete an initial mandated reporter training within three months of their date of engagement in a professional or official capacity as a mandated reporter, and at least every three years thereafter. You should have received an email from “Highland Community College” <administrator+@safecolleges.com> with information on how to access the two training modules in Safe College/Vector Solutions. If you haven’t received an email, please contact Christie Lewis. All employees will be expected to complete the two training modules by December 31, 2021.
