This year Highland’s professional development event for staff will start on Wednesday, March 23 at 9:15 a.m. via Zoom. Carol Reynes from Culture Partners will be facilitating an interactive presentation on innovation, experimenting, and Being Bold. This will be followed by a grab and go lunch, which will be available in the lobby outside of H-201 from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for those who ordered through Survey Monkey. From 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Ashley Abate, LCPC, from New Horizons Counseling Center will provide a workshop focusing on working with students who are experiencing mental health or social emotional issues, while also taking care of ourselves. Ashley’s presentation will be accessible via Zoom or employees can attend in H-201 if they prefer to get out of their offices. Lastly, on Thursday, March 24 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Janelle Elias, Vice President of Strategy and Advancement at Rio Salado Community College, will share examples of innovative ideas they have implemented at their college.
Campus offices will be closed all day on March 23 and from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. on March 24.
