Although we cannot celebrate with you in person today, we are feeling proud to have been a part of helping you meet your goal. We are also in the midst of planning an August 15, 2020 ceremony. On June 1, we will announce what the ceremony will look like. Please watch your mailbox, highland.edu, and social media for the announcement.
For today, celebrate your accomplishment! You deserve it.

Greetings class of 2020 Highland Community College. As president and on behalf of the entire highland community I want to congratulate you personally. Unfortunately we’re unable to have our traditional commencement ceremony because of the pandemic this year but that doesn’t take anything away from the remarkable accomplishment and the celebration that should occur as a result of your accomplishments here. We also want to thank you for choosing Highland and certainly thank your family and other loved ones for supporting you through this journey. You now join tens of thousands of alumni that are doing quite well as a result of their education and things that they’ve learned at highland not only in this region but throughout the world. I also want to encourage you to stay connected with Highland. Please consider joining our alumni association if you haven’t already we want to stay in touch with you we want to know where you’re at and how you’re doing and if there’s ever anything else we can do to serve you or enhance your efforts professionally or personally, please let us know. We are so proud of what you’ve done here. We want to help support you as you move into your next chapters of life and most of all we want you to remember and look back on this experience with the fondest of memories. Thank you for letting us be part of those memories and again we could not be more proud of you. Congratulations.
Congratulations class of 2020. As the executive vice president, and chief academic officer at Highland, I want to recognize your wonderful achievement. This achievement is especially notable given the unusual circumstances of the semester with the pandemic. Despite that, you persevered and you were able to reach your goals. Although I would much rather congratulate and celebrate this accomplishment with you in person, I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to extend my congratulations and let you know how proud we are of you and all of it that you have done at Highland. May your accomplishment at Highland pave the way to future success and many other wonderful achievements. Congratulations.

We are all incredibly proud of everything that you’ve accomplished this year. We hope you’re celebrating, we hope you’re having a wonderful time, we’re all so excited to see what you’ve accomplished in the future and we hope that you know that Highland will always have your back. We are incredibly confident in what you have in store despite these uncertain times, we hope that you move forward with confidence with pride in everything that you’ve accomplished and sure of everything that you still can accomplish.
