The Sick Leave Payout Program provides a monetary payout of accrued, unused sick leave days when an eligible employee retires.
This program will pay $20 per day for accrued, unused sick leave days in excess of the 180 days reported to SURS. Payment will not exceed $5,000.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Current full or part-time sick leave eligible HCC employee
- HCC employee must file for retirement under SURS
- Required application form submitted to Human Resources no later than six months prior to SURS retirement date
