As a reminder, debit cards for FSAs have been disabled as of October 1, 2025. The Crosstech integration feature (connection between Flex and BCBS) was leading to the duplication of Dental and Rx claims. This issue resulted in participants obtaining an FSA reimbursement for a claim that they initially settled using their Flex Debit Card. To resolve the issue of duplicate claim processing, the decision was made to disable the FSA Debit Cards.
Participants can still use FSA funds to pay dental, vision and Rx expenses. The Crosstech feature will electronically submit BCBS Dental and Rx claims to Flex for processing. Vision claims are not part of the Crosstech function and will need to be manually submitted to Flex for reimbursement.
