Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Resources and Reminders

The HR team, in partnership with Cottingham & Butler, hosted an Insurance webinar on 9/4/2025. The webinar provided information on the Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) that went into effect on 7/1/25 plus other useful pieces of information. Please use the below link to review the recording of the webinar. The presentation slides associated can be viewed here.

Reminder that participants will no longer be able to use their Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Debit Card after 9/30/25. The Crosstech integration feature (connection between Flex and BCBS) is causing duplication of Dental and Rx claims which result in participants receiving an FSA reimbursement for a claim they originally paid using their Flex Debit Card. Participants can still use FSA funds to pay dental, vision and Rx expenses. The Crosstech feature will electronically submit BCBS Dental and Rx claims to Flex for processing. Vision claims are not part of the crosstech function and will need to be manually submitted to Flex for reimbursement.

Please ensure that you have registered your account and entered your direct deposit information into the Flexible Benefits Service system (Flex). Flexible Benefit Service will only reimburse you via direct deposit. If you need assistance adding your direct deposit information, please contact Stephanie in HR.

Review the memo that was included in the “Important Insurance Communication Regarding the Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)” email sent by Stephanie Hintz on 9/16/25. The information in the memo addresses the HRA Adjustments for participants who met their employee facing out-of-pocket maximums prior to 7/1/2025.
