During this month’s Opening Days, President Kuberski highlighted that results from the Great Colleges to Work For Survey showed that organizational communication continued to rank as Fair. Employees who attended the Alliance for Innovation and Transformation (AFIT) Summer Institute agreed that concentrating energy into improving communication in ways that will benefit the employees, students, and the organization is an institutional challenge that would add great value. Improved communication will influence the employee experience, align our efforts across campus, support our ability to adapt to change, and help us improve the education, services, and experience for our students. As part of this initiative, participants at Opening Days were asked to participate in a survey asking which aspect of organizational communication each respondent believed needs the most improvement. Below are the results based on 98 responses:
This information will be used to determine where efforts should be focused as action steps are created. Questions to gather additional feedback were also wrapped into the Opening Days evaluation and will be analyzed as well.
