Professional Development Event – March 24, 2021

HR Cougar Corner

This year, Highland’s professional development event for staff will be held on Wednesday, March 24 starting at 9:00 a.m. This will be a virtual event. Campus offices will be closed all day. In the morning, Toby Causby, who facilitated our staff development event in 2018 and was scheduled as the key note presenter last year before the event was canceled, will provide an interactive workshop titled, Living, learning and leading in times such as this! Or This was not how it was supposed to be! Or Sur-THRIVE-ing in the times of COVID-19. This will be followed by a grab and go lunch and two additional workshops at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the topics of Disability Awareness and LGBTQ Cultural Competency. Departments will then have the opportunity to conduct departmental planning, goal setting or assessment on their own. Invites with a full agenda will be sent out soon.

Full-time staff and regular part-time staff who are normally scheduled to work during these times are encouraged to attend, unless the absence has already been pre-arranged with their supervisor.
