At the Professional Development Event on March 23, staff participated in LEGO® Serious Play®, a facilitated methodology used to promote thinking, communication and problem-solving. With this model, participants tap into their (right brain) creativity and build a three-dimensional model that depicts their thoughts leading to lively (left brain) discussion. Employees were led through a series of questions, which went deeper into the area of the cultural belief of Being Bold.
In the afternoon, Dr. Jason Soriano, LCP, led a workshop on Finding Our Best “Self,” Breaking Free of Roles and Labels. The workshop focused on the concept of self, recognizing how our definition of self impacts levels of burnout and compassion fatigue, and provided tools for a more balanced self and increased resilience. If you didn’t attend the workshop, and would like to view, it is available through the link below (video starts a few minutes into the presentation).
