Occasionally, there are several positions that are posted seemingly all at once. As it goes with most things in life, and in this case hiring, the numbers go up and down and are generally cyclical. It was fortunate that in December 2023, there were only 2 regular full and part-time positions on the posting list. Now in February 2024, we are at 10 positions, 2 of which are part-time. To put that in perspective, a year ago, February 2023, there were 10 positions, 2 of which were part-time. All but one of these openings is due to turnover. Annually, Highland enjoys a low turnover rate. The rate runs less than community colleges of our size.
