Associate of Science
The biology program (AS) emphasizes the
process of science, the origin of life, evolution, anatomy, physiology, genetics, and ecology of living organisms. Through experimental and hands-on learning, this HCC program provides a fundamental education in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and communication enabling graduates to pursue a baccalaureate degree.

Associate of Science
The biology education program (AS) is designed
to prepare students for a career in teaching biology at the secondary level. With a foundation
in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and history courses, HCC students are well prepared to pursue a baccalaureate degree in biology education.
