All new and returning Highland Community College students are invited to the Welcome to Highland party on Thursday, Aug. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Parking Lot A near the Student/Conference Center (Building H), 2998 W. Pearl City Rd., Freeport, Ill. The event will take place rain or shine.
To kick off the new semester, students can play games, win prizes, and eat from the food trucks. They can also take a campus tour, meet faculty and staff, and learn about student services from financial aid and disability services to clubs and organizations. This is an excellent time for students to get to know peers before the semester starts on August 16.
Stephenson County Health Department is hosting a COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination clinic during the event for Highland students and employees. Highland students under 18 years of age must have a legal guardian present. Vaccinations are not required at this time for Highland employees or students.
