HCC Adult Education hosts information sessions

Highland Adult Education is hosting information sessions in several communities about how to earn a GED® and improve reading, writing, math or English language skills.

The following sessions will be held:

2 to 3 p.m. on April 7 at Pearl City Library, 221 S Main St., Pearl City, Ill.

  • 2 to 3 p.m. on April 14 at Lena Community District Library, 300 W. Mason St., Lena, Ill.
  • 2 to 3 p.m. on April 21 at Mount Carroll Township Library, 208 N. Main St., Mount Carroll, Ill.
  • 2 to 3 p.m. on April 28 at Galena Public Library, 601 S. Bench St., Galena, Ill.

Highland Community College Adult Education Department serves individuals who live in Carroll, Jo Daviess, Ogle and Stephenson Counties who are looking for their GED® or English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Available services through the Adult Education program are classes for GED® Preparation, basic literacy, and ESL, plus one-on-one tutoring.

The Adult Education staff meets with students to understand their personalized academic goals, and then determine which classes and programs best meet these goals.
