How to Trade Stocks and Bonds

Do you trade stocks online? How do you decide which stocks to purchase and which ones to sell? This class will help you develop and maintain a stock trading system using both fundamental and technical analysis. The goal of this class is to help you make better trading decisions that will lead to better performance returns. Give a person a stock pick, and you feed them for a day. Teach a person how to pick stocks, and you feed them for a lifetime.
Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior

Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior. Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. Attendance is open to all. Fee includes a boxed lunch for $10.00 (sandwich, chips, cookie, and water). Please register for Course ID #3985 if you do not want a boxed lunch. This course provides a basic look at the Civil War and will cover the following; Session 1: A look at Lincoln’s life, Session 2: Events leading to the war in 1859 and 1860, Session 3: Battles of the Eastern Theatre, Session 4: Battles of the Western Theatre, Session 5: Naval Warfare, and Session 6: Relics of Civil War and Christmas for the Civil War soldier. Session 6 will be held at Dr. Dammann’s house in Lena.

This course is for those who have already begun to develop their family trees and need ideas for breaking through obstacles or just want additional avenues to learn more about their ancestors. Participants with issues in furthering their family trees should bring one or two examples to class.

This class takes a closer look at WWII in the Pacific. It covers life on a ship, command structure, Navy terms and types of warships used by both the US and Japan. It examines the cultural background of Japan and the US before the war. It looks at the events that led to Pearl Harbor. Time will be spent reviewing certain battles including Pearl Harbor, Bataan, Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, New Guinea, Leyte, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. Use of the A-bomb will be discussed. The class will also examine the view of Japan toward the war today and its effect on Asian neighbors.

3D Printing

This course will introduce students to Additive Manufacturing/3D printing including how 3D printing is being applied across a number of domains, including design, manufacturing, and retailing; special capabilities of 3D printing such as customization, self-assembly, and the ability to print complex objects; and, demonstration of how 3D printers are made and how they work.
