Get ready for Highland Cougar Men’s Basketball with an Orange Out game against Vincennes at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Sports Complex (YMCA) at 2998 W. Pearl City Rd., Freeport, Ill.
The first 100 fans will get a free pennant. Food trucks will be parked around the YMCA from 5 to
7 p.m. Attendees can pick up $5 Cougar Bucks for food in the YMCA lobby.
The Highland Men’s Basketball team is coached by Chad Boudreau, who is in his third season with the basketball program. Last year’s record was 23-6.
“Vincennes has a long history of success and Coach Franklin is one of the best in the business. We are excited to host the defending National Champs and current number one team in the NJCAA,” Boudreau said.
Pete Norman, Highland Athletic Director, said Vincennes University is certainly one of the premier community college basketball programs in the country. He praises Coach Todd Franklin as one of the very best coaches at any level in college basketball, and adds playing the game against Vincennes is a unique opportunity for the Highland basketball program this early in the season.
“In our own way, the Highland Cougars have consistently established ourselves as a nationally competitive program,” Norman said. “I am very excited for our players to compete against the number one ranked team in the country and defending National Champions. I hope Cougar Nation comes out in full force and cheer on the Cougars.”
