Highland Community College Offers Insurance Courses Taught by MetLife Auto & Home®

MetLife Auto & Home is teaming up with Highland Community College to offer insurance-focused courses through the College’s Lifelong Learning program. The 10-week courses are taught at MetLife Auto & Home’s Freeport location from Sept. 11 to Nov. 20 and include: Property and Liability Insurance Principles, Personal Insurance, and Claim Handling Principles and Practices. MetLife Auto & Home’s associates will lead the classes, leveraging their first-hand experience working in the insurance industry.

Highland Community College’s Lifelong Learning courses are designed for people in the community and four-county district to benefit from classes for personal or professional gain. The classes are designed to revitalize community education by offering classes serving all ages. The program helps the college reach more people in the community, either by taking courses or becoming an instructor.

“We are thrilled to work with Highland Community College to offer courses through Lifelong Learning to the local community,” said Darla Finchum, vice president & chief claim officer, MetLife Auto & Home. “This is an opportunity for our passionate associates to give back and share their expertise with students and local talent interested in pursuing careers in the insurance industry.”

The Lifelong Learning MetLife Auto & Home-led courses are held at MetLife Auto & Home, 500 MetLife Way, Freeport, Ill.
