The Highland Community College Dairy Judging Team recently completed another successful judging season.
The 2017 Dairy Judging Team members were Charlie Elliott (Freeport), Bria Koester (Dakota), and Andrea Willing (Rock City). The team was coached again this year by Kristi Dinderman (Orangeville). The team began the season traveling to the Accelerated Genetics Contest in Viroqua, WI on September 17. The highlight of the season was a strong showing at the World Dairy Expo on October 1 in Madison, WI.
Finally, the team finished the season at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, KY on November 5.
Coach Kristi Dinderman said, “I am extremely proud of our team for the work they put into preparing for our contests. A three-person team has a big disadvantage to a four-person team at these contests. To earn such high placing’s with one fewer member shows great dedication and perseverance of the students.”
