Highland Foundation launches Alumni Scholarship Matching Gift Challenge

The Highland Foundation is launching the Alumni Scholarship Matching Gift Challenge that was inspired by example by alumnus Cristina Lambert and Jim Frisbie for their dedication to help future students by giving them the opportunity of an education at Highland Community College.

The Alumni Scholarship will ensure future students the same experience as previous students who attended and graduated from Highland Community College.

The Foundation has a goal of $50,000 to help fund a permanent endowment. A donation will be doubled by an anonymous donor matching every dollar raised.

“At Highland, we are encouraged every day by stories from our alum of the impact the college has in our community,” said David Barton, president of the Foundation. “Your own experience as an alum is part of the wonderful Highland legacy of changing lives. A gift will play a vital role in funding the alumni scholarship.”

The contributing gift challenge deadline is May 1. For more information, email foundation@highland.edu or call 815-599.3413.
