Freeport — Accomplished hypnotist and performer Dr. Jim Wand will present “A Journey Beyond Imagination” on Monday, April 24, at 3 p.m. in the Student/Conference Center, room H-201. The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by Highland Community College Student Activities, Psychology Club, and Student Senate.
“Each show is custom designed for the audience in attendance, always tastefully done, and enjoyed by all. The volunteers, as well as the audience, will long remember the fun and laughter of this unique entertainment experience,” according to Wand Enterprises.
Audience members can participate on stage, from their seats, or just enjoy the show.
Jim Wand is an HCC alumnus and founder and owner of Wand Enterprises, The Hypnosis Agency representing hypnotists, mentalists, ventriloquists, comedians and magicians. He has been in the field of hypnosis for more than 30 years, with more than 11,000 professional engagements to his credit. He is considered to be one of the top hypnotic entertainers in the world today and has performed all over the world. A field of expertise for Wand is in the field of personal and group motivation.
His entertainment background aside, he has had a very successful hypnosis background, employing three hypnotists for the practice. He continues to do more than 200 presentations yearly. He has worked with such personalities such as Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, Chris Rock, Heidi Klum, Sylvester Stallone and Jeff Probst from the television series “Survivor.” He has also appeared on Comedy Central and a FOX special entitled “WOW.”
