Some courses are held in-person, while everyone practices social distancing, and wear a mask, while others have the option to attend virtually through Zoom™ or online. Movie Music Elvis – Zoom™

Students will journey through Elvis Presley’s history-making years from the mid-1950s into the 1960s in a live, online, narrated presentation of “Movie Music Elvis.” Songs and dances from 20 Elvis films will trigger happy memories for those who lived it, and thrill younger audiences who will be seeing Elvis in a new way.

Assassination of Kennedy

Students will learn about the events leading up to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. The discussion will include the culture in 1963, brief biographies of JFK and Lee Harvey Oswald, the hospitalization and funeral of JFK, and the capture and fate of Oswald.
Introduction to Shield Metal Arc (Stick) Welding

Instructor: Mark Kloepping
Students will learn more about Shield Metal Arc, or Stick, welding including how to set the voltage for differently sized electrodes, proper safety equipment, and necessary tools. This is a hands-on class. Attendees must dress appropriately to work in a shop, including long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and no loose clothing.
American Guerrillas in the Philippines

Students will learn about the Americans who fought with, and helped lead Guerrilla units. Topics include intelligence gathering for the Americans retaking of the Philippines and liberation of POW camps. The instructor will review tactics, weapons, and equipment, and display recovered battlefield relics.
