Moonlight Serenade featuring Highland’s Big Band coming to Masonic Temple

The Highland Community College Big Band and Freeport High School Jazz Ensemble will combine their talents under the direction of Bill Petersen during the 15th annual Moonlight Serenade from 7 to 10:30 p.m. on March 3 in the Masonic Temple Ballroom, 305 W. Stephenson St., Freeport, Ill.

An evening of great big band music will be presented for both listening and dancing pleasure. Petersen, the director for both the HCC Big Band and the FHS Jazz Ensemble, promises a special evening of food and fun amidst swing tunes, ballads, waltzes, and Latin grooves.

Music fans of all ages are welcome to dance the night away with featured polka, waltz and line dance songs to captivate the attention of any enthusiast. Attendees can dress formal or casual. Appetizers and soft drinks will be served.

Tickets are $7.50 and available for purchase in advance at the Highland Community College Box Office Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. inside the Ferguson Fine Arts Center, 2998 West Pearl City Rd., Freeport, Ill. or at the door the night of the event. No telephone or online ticket orders.
