‘Prairie Wind’ magazine submission deadline extended to March 14

The submission deadline for the twenty-sixth annual Prairie Wind art and literary magazine has been extended to March 14, 2018, at 5 p.m. The Prairie Wind is a collection of original poetry, prose, visual art, and recorded music contributed by students, staff, alumni, and other members of the Highland Community College district. All writers and artists residing in the Highland district (Stephenson, Ogle, Carroll and Jo-Daviess counties) may submit work considered for the publication. It is published in May of each year.

Highland Community College, 2998 West Pearl City Road, Freeport, Ill has published the annual magazine since 1992. It is a cooperative project of the Humanities, Graphic Design, Art, and Music departments in the Division of Humanities, Social Sciences and Fine Arts. The editorial board is composed of students and volunteer community members who are guided by a team of faculty advisors.
