Faculty and Staff:
We continue to follow the stay-at-home order of Governor J.B. Pritzker and advice of public health officials to shelter in place. As announced yesterday, the order now remains in place through April 30, and maybe even through the end of the spring semester.
We want you to be assured that Highland is committed to our employees and will be maintaining current pay and benefits at this time. Our emergency operations team continues to monitor the situation closely. We are looking forward to the day when we can all safely return to campus to resume our work together, face-to-face. Until then, we will continue to hold Zoom Campus Connections and support your remote working situation.
Due to the nature of this exceptional situation and limited campus activity, employees will receive an additional stipend of $25 for reimbursement of internet and phone service. This second stipend is for employees who are performing approved work remotely between April 13, 2020, and May 15, 2020 and will be automatically included with the employee’s paycheck (does not include student workers).
If you have questions, please speak with your supervisor or contact Human Resources at HR@highland.edu.
