Remote Learners and Workers
This table includes Highland Community College students and employees who have entered a building on campus. Those attending classes or working remotely (online) are not included in this data since they have not been on campus.
Contact Tracing
The Highland Emergency Management Team continues to partner with the Stephenson County Health Department during the COVID-19 pandemic. The health department will conduct contact tracing if an employee or student tests positive for COVID-19.
Awaiting Test Results?
If you are waiting for COVID-19 test results, due to symptoms or potential exposure, please do not come to the Highland Community College campus. Students should contact their instructor(s) for alternative remote learning options. Employees should contact their supervisors.
Reporting Positive Cases
Students who have tested positive for COVID-19 should not come to campus for in-person classes. Please communicate with your instructor(s) on alternative delivery options. You also need to contact Liz Gerber, Student Development and Support Services Vice President, at 815-599-3531. Employees who have a positive test result must inform their supervisor and not come to campus. The supervisor will contact Human Resources. All reports remain confidential.
