As a result of completing a certificate program in the Highland Community College Industrial Maintenance program, graduates will be able to:
- Make initial assessments of the current operation of a machine or process and determine its operating condition.
- Determine what general adjustments or repairs may be needed to bring a machine or process to satisfactory operation.
- Select and safely use the proper tools and procedures to implement common adjustments or repairs on a machine or process that is not operating within acceptable limits.
- Communicate and work cooperatively with others to reach established goals in a manufacturing environment by accepting responsibility for assigned tasks, contributing knowledge and skills toward the advancement of the group and project, and meeting deadlines in a timely manner.
