Highland Community College’s Lifelong Learning November and December learning opportunities include creative arts, health and wellness, culinary, and other do-it-yourself courses.

GRAT-I-TANGLE

Location: Stockton Public Library, 140 W. Benton Ave., Stockton Ill.

During this season the focus is on gratitude and appreciation — the first step in the art of Zentangle. Join the fun with a new kit of materials and explore new tangles to relax and unwind. If in possession of a Zentangle kit from a previous class, bring it along or purchase one from the instructor for $5.

Carb Counting for Diabetes and Healthy Living

Design your own stenciled sign on wood! You will have your choice of one 12×16” stained board and one seasonally themed stencil. There are multiple stencil designs to choose from, paint, and take home!

Introduction to Oxy-Acetylene Welding

Welding is a popular hobby and an in-demand career. Learn about oxy-acetylene welding and learn information for a more for-credit class. This is a hands-on class; please dress to work in a shop including long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and no loose clothing.
