Membership in the Friends of the Fine Arts consists of individuals interested in furthering the educational endeavors of Highland Community College and expanding the College’s effort to enhance the culture and art community.
Annually, the HCC Friends of the Fine Arts hosts various events, including instrumental, chorale concerts, and theatre performances featuring students of music as well as drama. The Visual Art department features student art work on display in the Highland Gallery, as well as at local area galleries. Highland also showcases student, alumni, and community artist pieces in our permanent and temporary collections.
The Friends of the Fine Arts host an annual scholarship ceremony to present Friends of the Fine Arts Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded in recognition of those students who demonstrate an abiding interest and proven talent in the area of Fine Arts.
Highland Community College is proud of our fine arts programs and our talented students. Therefore we would like to provide our community members with the opportunity for annual memberships in the Friends of the Fine Arts.
