The Highland Community College Foundation has officially opened its scholarship applications for the 2020-21 school year.

Highland awarded $482,262 scholarships to more than 200 students for the 2018-2019 academic year. Highland-bound student scholarships are available for traditional and non-traditional students in more than 17 areas of study, including undeclared majors.

Pat Dunn, director of operations for the Highland Foundation, emphasizes that scholarships aren’t just for academic achievement.

“Highland has over 350 scholarships based on where you live, fields of study, special interest, financial need, and academic performance, so there is something for almost everyone,” Dunn said. “The Foundation is always happy to help students find the specific opportunities to apply for.”

Applicants can view the list of scholarships by accessing highland.edu/scholarships. The deadline for most scholarships is April 1.
