Highland to host Women in Science and Nursing host medical panel during Homecoming Week

In celebration of Homecoming Week a joint Women in Science/Nursing panel will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 in the Ray and Betty Stamm Health Science Nursing Wing, rooms N154 and N158, at Highland Community College, 2998 W. Pearl City Rd., Freeport, Ill.

 

The Homecoming week activity is geared toward women who are passionate about science, nursing, and medical fields. The all-female panel will share with attendees and students their career path story after Highland.

 

The panelists:

  • JoAnn Gorsline — NICU nurse at Mercy Health in Rockford
  • Elena Rodriguez — Registered Nurse at Monroe Clinic Hospital
  • Peg Ditmar — Nurse Practitioner at Midwest Medical
