Auto Body Program Outcomes

Each student who completes the auto body program at Highland Community College, will be able to accomplish basic collision repair procedures as set forth with the ASE/NATEF guidelines.

Students will be proficient at the following:

  • Remove and replace bolted on panel and welded on panels
  • Prepare panel and vehicle for the refinishing process
  • Detail the interior and exterior of the vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Apply and shape basic body filler to meet body contours
  • Apply primers
  • Remove and install vehicle components for the repair process
  • Execute knowledge of vehicle construction
