ONE Highland

Here is what One HCC looks like. On April 30, there was gown pick up for HCC’s 2021 graduates. Admissions and Records staff had everything well organized so students could flow through the process of getting their gown, their honors chords, and their HCC swag smoothly. Graduates were able to have their photo taken so it will be included in the virtual graduation released on Graduation day, May 22. Mass Communication will be producing the video again this year. Special thanks to those who are helping celebrate our students and making it as personal as possible given our current situation. Also, special thanks to Jim Yeager, Alex Jansen, and the Mass Communication students for their efforts to livestream the Nursing Pinning and create the videos for Honors Convocation, Commencement. Each of these are significant undertakings and yet they are pulling them all off within a few days of each other. Everyone trusted and collaborated together to celebrate our students’ success. This will impact our student experience and enrollment.

We would love to hear a focused story from you for inclusion in the Cougar Corner.  Please send in your story to christie.lewis@highland.edu or karen.brown@highland.edu. The first five employees to send one in will receive a ONE Highland steel mug.  Also, as a reminder, if you need focused recognition cards, please contact Christie Lewis.  You can also find cards in central stores at the Bookstore.
