Highland Phi Theta students named to All-Illinois Academic Team

Highland Community College’s international society Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter has announced that Alena Asche of Pecatonica and Grace Fox of Lena were named to the All-Illinois Academic team during a banquet held on April 28 in Springfield, Ill.

The All-Illinois Academic Team recognizes high-achieving two-year college students who demonstrate academic excellence and intellectual rigor, combined with leadership and service that extends their education beyond the classroom to benefit society.

Alena Asche will graduate in May from Highland with an Associate of Arts in Agriculture. She is transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to major in Agribusiness and Animal Science.

Grace Fox will graduate in May with an Associate of Arts Degree in Art. She plans to take a gap year before continuing her education.
