‘Prairie Wind’ magazine submissions are now open

President's Report

Submissions are now being accepted for the 14th annual “Prairie Wind” art and literary magazine. “Prairie Wind” is a diverse collection of original poetry, prose, visual art, and recorded music contributed by Highland Community College students, staff, alumni and members of the public. The submission deadline is on Friday, March 8. Drop submissions off in the Ferguson Fine Arts Center, Building F, 2998 West Pearl City Road, Freeport, Ill.

The magazine has been published annually since 1992 under the auspices of Highland. It is a cooperative project of the Humanities, Graphic Design, Art, and Music departments in the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences. Submissions are reviewed and each issue is created by an editorial board of students and volunteer community members guided by a team of faculty advisors.

The views expressed in the publication do not necessarily reflect the views or its employees. More information, along with the Entry Form, can be found at highland.edu/finearts/prairie-wind/. The electronic submission form and guidelines are available at highland.edu/prairiewind.
