Cosmetology Degree

Creativity. Confidence. Color.
Do these describe your new career?

Cosmetology is a field that brings together the best of multiple skills and talents. Talented cosmetologists may immerse themselves in a high-glamour career using creative energy to develop cutting-edge styles. All cosmetologists use their skills to create new looks for people and to increase their confidence. But cosmetology is more than “doing hair.” At Highland we believe this is a business. And we set out to give you the skills you’ll need to manage and market your business. That’s why our course list may seem a little different than some others. We believe these differences are what makes our program unique.

You will learn design basics during lecture courses, and you will also acquire experience—at least 1,500 hours of experience in Highland’s contemporary salon. During these courses, you will be able to work at your own pace and with your own learning style. Post-secondary students can complete their cosmetology certificates in just 14 months. This includes eight weeks of summer school. You may begin the course on either a part- or full-time schedule.
