Success Coaches
Our role as Success Coaches is to provide you with individualized support to navigate academic challenges that may arise, to set goals with you, and to develop strategies for your success, both academically and personally. We help you to create personalized plans, connect with campus resources, and overcome obstacles.
Mentor Program
Highland student mentors will work with you on study strategies, organization, time management, and other skills to help you succeed! Mentors will keep you motivated, set goals, and let you know about resources, opportunities, and events on campus.
Early Alert
College is not always easy, but we are here to help when you need support. Early alert is a communication tool Highland faculty and staff use when students are struggling in a class. Instructors may submit an early alert for various reasons, including incomplete homework and tests, regular tardiness, and excessive or unexplained absences. When we receive an early alert, we will make sure you get the help you need as soon as possible to turn things around.
Contact Student Success Coordinator Jennifer Smith-Norman with questions on early alert.
